My trip to Bhandardara

It was a long weekend when i and my family decided to visit this beautiful place. Nestled among the Sahyadri hills  , Bhandadara has all the makings of a beautiful holiday resort .
The roaring waterfalls and lush greenery throughout the year attracted us all . 

The pristine ambiance was very refreshing . we decided to stay at the MTDC quarters .

when I reached there I was completely amazed as my cottage was facing the lake . Heavy rains and strong winds , it was completely mind boggling .  I spent a whole day admiring the lake , so calm and peaceful . It felt good to spend some time with myself and the nature . 


Then we all decided to go boating into the lake , the one hour boat ride was fun . There aren't many eating joints at Bhandardara , we luckily carried some snacks with us else we had to starve .

We then decided to go out and explore this place , and as we went we figured out that there is nothing to explore in here . It's only mountains , lakes and dams . I was very lucky to visit Bhandardara in the monsoon , at it's best .

Before I could realise our two days trip had come to an end and it was time to say goodbye to this beautiful place . Sometimes it's very necessary for us to take a break and enjoy the nature . On my way back i kept wondering if ever Mumbai could be so beautiful and peaceful , but somewhere I knew that is not possible . 


So i decided to visit Bhandardara again and I am really waiting for my next visit .
